TEACHER FEATURE

Our “Teacher Feature” this month is Mrs. Page! Mrs. Page grew up in NW Arkansas before moving to the Houston area in 2001. During her younger dancing years, she completed the Royal Academy of Dance ballet examinations with high scores. She attended Kirov Ballet Academy’s (Washington, DC), as well as the American Ballet Theatre, and Houston Ballet’s summer programs with offers to attend year-round. She was also accepted to attend HSPVA (High School of the Performing and Visual Arts).  She chose instead to study full time at the Houston Ballet Ben Stevenson Academy, where she trained under master teachers and performed at the Wortham Theatre in downtown Houston. Mrs. Page then moved to Ft. Worth, Texas to dance under the direction of Ben Stevenson at the Texas Ballet Theater where she performed in many full-length ballets and began her student-teaching training. She joined PPA 2012 and has taught almost all levels of ballet as well as served as our ballet director.  Mrs. Page is married to Bryon Brill and is the mother of two beautiful daughters, Allison and Zoey.

Unfortunately for PPA but happy for her, Mrs. Page is relocating to London, England for her husband’s work In January 2021. She will continue her ballet career and hopes to get her RAD (Royal Academy of Dancing) Teaching certifications since she will be in such close proximity to the Royal Ballet!  Mrs. Page has taught so many here and given so much of herself!  Part teacher, part friend, part wardrobe consultant, part hairstylist, part friend – the list goes on and on.  We will miss her terribly and we do wish her the very best!  We can’t wait to see how she blends her Texas accent with the posh and polish of the British dialect!

Good luck Mrs. Page – we will miss you!
